Graduate Programme
How do I apply for the Savills graduate programme?
- Applications for the Graduate Scheme in 2012 are now CLOSED. Applications for the Graduate Scheme in 2013 will open in October 2012.
- To apply you will need to submit an online application, which involves you uploading your CV and covering letter along with two short essay answer questions.
- Please note we only accept online applications and do not accept any speculative applications.
If your online application is successful you will be invited to an assessment day between 9th and 20th January 2012.
Can I apply even if I don't have a RICS–accredited degree?
Yes, but once you've been offered a graduate traineeship you'll need to undertake a RICS-accredited conversion course. In some exceptional cases, we offer funding to help support you through your studies.
Can I apply even if I have already begun my APC at another company?
You can apply and if selected we would review your previous APC related experience and training to be able to develop an understanding of your future training needs.
If I have applied before and been unsuccessful, can I apply again?
Certainly. We review all applications and often encourage students to apply again if they have taken steps to improve their application. If you have been turned down for a summer placement, this has no bearing on your application for a graduate traineeship.
What is the recruitment process for the graduate programme?
The Graduate Scheme recruitment process has three stages:
First stage: Application

- We make job offers or offers to join us for work experience by the end of February 2013.
All communication for our recruitment is conducted via email, therefore please apply with an account you will have continued use over university holiday.
When and where do Savills assessment days and interviews take place?
If your online application is successful you will be invited to an assessment day between 9th and 20th January 2012.
If you are successful at the assessment day you will then be invited for a final round formal interview which will take place in January or February 2012. The interviews often take place in London, but on occasion some of them can take place in one of our regional offices.
What does the Savills assessment day involve?
The aim of the assessment day is to give candidates the chance to find out about what it would be like to work at Savills and for Savills to find out more about each candidate.
The day will involve candidates undertaking a presentation task, written test, numerical test and a group exercise. There will be no formal interview at this stage of the recruitment process.
In addition, there will be informative presentations and a chance to meet people from the business - from graduates to directors.
What will the interview involve?
The interview will involve a panel of 2 or 3 assessors asking a range of questions regarding your experience, your interest in the industry and so forth. Your questions will be tailored to your performance at the assessment day so no two candidates will have the same interview.
How quickly will I know if I've been successful or not gaining a position?
We will be in touch by email and phone as soon as we are certain that you're right for Savills. We aim to let everyone know if they have been successful or not by the end of January.
If my application isn't successful, will you give me feedback as to why?
Everyone attending an assessment day or interview has the opportunity to request feedback. However, the large volumes of applications we receive mean it isn't possible for us to provide feedback to people who are not invited to an assessment day or interview.
