Summer Scheme (Work Experience)

We operate a "Summer Scheme" throughout our UK offices each year. This offers prospective APC candidates the opportunity to come and experience working at Savills first-hand.

The summer scheme is an opportunity for you to work at Savills for a 4-week period in one of the following disciplines:

Commercial, Residential, Development, Town Planning, Capital Allowances (suitable for QS) and Building Surveying.

Places are available for people looking for work experience prior to making an Autumn application to start the Graduate Scheme the next year.

To apply for a place on our Summer Scheme, please complete an online application, found in the "Apply" section of this website. Those shortlisted may be interviewed on the telephone by someone from our Graduate Management team, which is made up of RICS-qualified staff and HR professionals.

During a placement, there could be the opportunity to go on site visits, attend client meetings, write reports and conduct research. We also hold attend departmental talks to learn about other areas of the business and meet directors from across Savills for lunch.

Sporting events are organised for summer students to meet our current graduates in an informal situation, the Graduate and Training Manager also gives you an overview of the APC and recruitment process.

We expect everyone who joins our Summer Scheme to have objectives of what they wish to achieve over the 4 week period. These are reviewed at an informal meeting after 2 weeks. At the end of the 4 weeks a full appraisal is given by the head of department to give useful feedback on performance.

This scheme gives the chance to learn a lot about the way we work to help decide whether a career with Savills is the right choice for you. It remains the best way to strengthen your application for our graduate programme.
